Pablo Tell Schreiber (born April 26, ) is a Canadian-American actor. He is best known for his stage work and for portraying Nick Sobotka on The Wire (, ), William Lewis on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (–), Mad Sweeney on the Starz series American Gods (–), and as George "Pornstache" Mendez on Orange Is the New Black (–), for which he received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. He starred as the Master Chief in the Paramount+ live-action series Halo (–) which is based on the franchise of the same name.
His film roles include minor roles in Bubble Boy (), The Manchurian Candidate (), Lords of Dogtown (), Vicky Cristina Barcelona (), Nights in Rodanthe (), Allegiance (), and Preservation (). He co-starred in the war film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi directed by Michael Bay. In , he starred in the action heist film Den of Thieves opposite Gerard Butler and in Skyscraper with Dwayne Johnson. In , he starred in the drama film Lorelei with Jena Malone.
He is also known for his dramatic stage work including his performance in Awake and Sing! () on Broadway which earned him a nomination for a Tony Award. In , he starred in reasons to be pretty where he won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play. He narrated the audiobook version of Brett Easton Ellis’ American Psycho.

Interests and Family
Mr Laing has maintained a strong interest in hockey which he played at combined University (international), County and Regional level. He also enjoys tennis, skiing and golf. He has a keen interest in motor sport, successfully competing in the Round the World Rally in , Classic Le Mans, Le Mans Legends four Mille Miglias, and the RAC rally as well as many races at Silverstone, Donnington , Mallory Park and many other circuits.
When Mr Laing and his wife, Mary, moved to Northamptonshire in , they quickly made a mark for themselves by re-instating the Brigstock Horse Trials at their home, Fermyn Woods Hall. When they moved to Grafton Underwood, they established the Horse Trials in a new location at Rockingham Castle where it has maintained its international status. David is President of the event team and he remains the joint organiser.
The Laings have a deep interest in music and are keen supporters of the Youth Orchestra that performs with NMPAT (Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust) at the Royal and Derngate. David was a founding director of “Musicale Holidays” and Harpenden Musicale, providing holiday music courses in some 20 centres around the country.
David married Mary in and they have five children (four sons and one daughter) and eleven grandchildren.

Bruce Laing was born in Seattle on August 17, , son of Robert and Bertha (Huber) Laing. He had two sisters, Kathryn and Elizabeth, and a brother, Robert. He attended Seattle University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, and the University of Washington, where he received a Masters of Urban Planning. He married Brigid Flood and they had three children: Jim, Colleen, and Greg.
After working as a professional planner for engineering, planning, and development firms and with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, he served as chief zoning and subdivision examiner for King County from In , he received the Outstanding Public Employee award from the Municipal League of King County.
Elected to the King County Council in , he went to work on a number of land-use and infrastructure issues that were close to his heart. He served on the Metro Council, overseeing the bus and sewage systems of King County, and on the Executive Board of the Puget Sound Council of Governments, a regional planning body.

Halo is an American military science fiction television series developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane for the streaming service Paramount+. Based on the video game franchise created by Bungie and developed by Industries, the series follows a 26th-century war between the United Nations Space Command and the Covenant, a theocratic-military alliance of several alien races determined to eradicate humanity.
