Monica was preceded in death by her brother Leo and her grandparents Max and Lou Padilla.
She is survived by her beloved Maxie, her mother Marla Padilla, her grandmother Mary Gabaldon, several aunts and uncles, and many cousins.
Monica will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for life, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Rest in peace, Monica. You will be deeply missed.

Monica E. Padilla is a contestant from Survivor: Samoa and Survivor: Cambodia.
In Samoa, Monica proved to be a hindrance to her tribe in challenges, though her strong position within the Galu Alliance, as well as the Galu tribe's general success in challenges, allowed her to reach the merge. However, after her alliance was decimated, she pushed Russell Hantz's buttons by threatening to reveal that he was a millionaire, resulting in her being voted out.
Monica later returned for Cambodia, where she attempted to make an all-female alliance on the Bayon tribe. However, Kimmi Kappenberg foiled her plans by informing the rest of the tribe, leading to Monica's eventual blindside.

Monica Padilla (25) Monica Padilla is the first in her family to not only complete her undergraduate degree but also obtain a Juris Doctor. Recently, she graduated from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, where she perfected, what she describes as, her power of persuasion. She fully intends to use her beauty and the fact that she "can sell ice cubes to an Eskimo" to her advantage in the game. Exotic looks, in addition to intellect, have landed her a wide range of jobs, such as a clerk position at a well-known investment firm, as well as a position playing a theme park Pocahontas. With the keen ability to change from bookworm to party girl in a matter of moments, she is sure she will be able to adapt to anything she comes across on the island. She says that while in the Samoan wilderness, she will miss partying, clubbing and lunch with friends the most, which was exactly what she did in her free time even as she was in the home-stretch of obtaining her degree.
