an Indian model, originally from state of Jammu & Kashmir. He won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest in 2003. He also won the Rashtrapati Award for bravery (1994) (Hindi: Jeevan Raksha Padak) for saving a boy from drowning in 1992. More recently he also won the Godfrey Philips Bravery Award for saving the life of a 55 year old British woman from drowning in the Arabian sea.

He has done more than 15 modelling campaigns and is a brand ambassador for at least 5 companies. He has also done many international campaigns and is a popular model in Bangkok. He has featured in advertisements of brands such as Mistair, Real fruit juice and Maruti Suzuki Swift and launch of Titan watches. Onida Dvd, Bolero sports car, Hide and Seek biscuits, Bajaj pulsar bike, and Siyaram. He also modelled for the guess company in Italy for 2 years.He was awarded The Best Male Model by Times of India and The Hindustan Times for three years in a row in 2004/05/06.Also won The Most glamorous Male Model by Zoom in 2005,Winner Apex Award for The Most Stylish Male Model in 2005.He is listed in the Top Ten Most Desirable Bachelor Men in India.

Muzamil did a few music videos like Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai for Lucky Ali, and Pardesiya, which got him noticed with Rakhi Sawant. He made his début into Bollywood with the movie titled Dhoka directed by Pooja Bhatt, written by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. He will be seen in a double role in a comedy film Horn Ok Pleassss with Nana Patekar. He was nominated for "Best Newcomer" for his role in Dhokha at both the Filmfare awards,Star TV awards and the Stardust awards.

He has been a lead actor in Mahesh Bhatt’s movie Dhokha. His work won him a lot of acclaim. Muzammil Ibrahim’s road to Bollywood opened for him after winning Gladrags Manhunt Contest as Mr. India in 2003.

Muzammil participated in the contest when he was in the in first year of mechanical engineering. “One day, in the canteen, I ordered an omelette and the paper on which it was served happened to carry the advertisement about a modelling competition,” he recalls.

Winning the Gladrags Mr. India contest kick-started his career in modelling. He was nominated for “Best Newcomer” for his role in Dhokha at both the Filmfare awards, Star TV awards and the Stardust awards.

“Coming from Kashmir Valley, I have seen the beauty of the state being ravaged by the uncertain tumult. Now I am happy to be in a movie that had influenced the youth against the melancholy,” Muzammil says. “The youth of today are burdened by the problems faced by their elders in the past. But times have changed. We are progressing towards a better future.”

As a child, Muzammil won the Rashtrapati Award for bravery (1994) for rescuing a drowning 55-year-old woman who had gone for a swim in the Arabian Sea at Goa. “I always wanted to be in the good books of my teachers, I was seldom naughty. Since, I was very ambitious, I still can’t stop talking about the numerous certificates that have made it to my shelf,” says the 1984-born model-turned-actor.
