    ap (IPA: /ˌæpəldi

    group Black Eyed Peas.

Allan Pineda Lindo was born in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. His African-American
father, an airman stationed at Clark Air Base, left the family shortly after his birth; his Filipino
mother, Cristina Pineda, raised him and his six younger siblings as a single mother. As a child,
Pineda would make an hour-long jeepney trip to and from his school and helped his family
subsist by farming sweet potatoes, corn, sugar cane, and rice. The Pearl S. Buck Foundation, an
organization that finds healthier living environments for young abandoned or orphaned
American children, matched him with a sponsor named Joe Ben Hudgens, a lawyer, through a
    dollar-a-day program.

He initially came to the United States at the age of 14 for treatment for nystagmus, an
involuntary movement of the eyes. After a trip to Disneyland, Pineda expressed his interest in
staying in the United States. It would take another three years for Hudgens to officially adopt
him, but at fourteen he moved permanently to live with them.[1]

In Los Angeles, Pineda attended John Marshall High School, where he met and befriended
William Adams (stage name will.i.am), the nephew of Hudgens' roommate.[1][2] Pineda's early
musical influences were Stevie Wonder, The Eagles, The Beatles, A Tribe Called Quest, De La
Soul, Leaders of the New School and the Filipino rock/folk group Asin. Pineda was introduced
to hip hop by break dancing. "I would take the jeepney all the way to Angeles City, and that's
how I got introduced to break dancing," he said. "I would see kids at the corner break-dancing
and I'm like, 'I wanna do that.'" Pineda revealed to People Magazine in 2011 that he is legally

“Growing old is manditory, growing up is optional” - Chili Davis

The sound of birds chirping greet the day, the light of the sky shine down today, and yet, He lays there in his bed, wishing he never woke up. The sun kisses a boy in bed good morning, yet he rejects it by hiding under the sheets, not wanting to get up. He sighs as he realizes what today is and says,

    “Damn it… why’d I wake up”

He gets out of bed with a disappointing mood and makes his way to the living room. As he walks, he notices the boxes filled with things and picture frames, he picks up a frame and sees a photo of a group of people with him, he stares at it with a meaningful look and a light giggles and says,

“Hays, I wish we had more time, highschool passed by too fast”

As he stared at the picture of him and his closest friends, he starts to reminisce the time he spent with the people that he grew up with. Memories start to strike his mind as he notices the other picture frames filled with photos of the past. Voices filled his head, a flashback to what he had before, he puts down the frame, and pushes himself against the wall and sits down.

“Why’d it go by so fast… I need a little more time, just a little more… before all this responsibility fill my everyday…”

As he was about to breakdown with tears falling, a sudden knock on the door came to interrupt. He wipes his teary eyes and gets up to open the door from the constant knocking.

“Coming!” He yelled as a reply to the knocking

He opens the door and he sees his bestfriend. She asks

“Huh, are you okay? Were you crying? Why aren’t you ready yet?” She asks.

“Aha, yeah, sorry I just woke up, come in.” He says with a sad chuckle as he offers her to come in.

“Woah, you’re really packed huh?” She asks as she sees all the boxes and things gathered ready to go.

    “Yeah, I guess.” He
