Jayam Ravi, the renowned actor known for his role in Ponniyin Selvan, recently announced his separation from his wife of 15 years, Aarti Ravi. The announcement, which was made via a public statement on social media, has sparked significant backlash from Aarti, who claims that the decision was made without her consent and has left her and their children in a state of shock.

She added that the lack of communication left her and their children “completely blindsided” by the announcement.
Aarti’s statement also addressed the false public narrative she believes has unfairly targeted her. “Despite the pain this has caused, I have chosen to remain dignified and refrained from public comment until now,” she said. “It has been hard to endure the false public narrative that has unfairly placed blame on me and subjected my character to attacks.” She stressed that her primary concern remains the well-being of their two sons, Aarav and Ayaan. “As a mother, my first priority is and always will be the well-being of my children,” Aarti affirmed.
