Don Nabasa
Ugandan military general
Major GeneralDon William Nabasa, is a Ugandan military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He currently serves as the Joint Staff Policy and Strategy in the UPDF. He was appointed to that position of 3 January 2025. Before that, he was the commander of the UPDF's Third Infantry Division, headquartered in Moroto.
Prior to his assignment in Moroto, Major General Nabasa served as the Commander of the UPDF Military Police, effective 26 October 2021. Before that, he was the commander of the Uganda contingent in Somalia as part of AMISOM.
Previously, Nabasa was the Commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC), an elite unit that is responsible for the security of the President of Uganda, and that of traditional cultural leaders and vital national installations, as well as the country's oilfields. He assumed command of the SFC, in January 2017, taking over from Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who was appointed Senior Presidential Adviser on military affairs.

Military education
Don Nabasa joined the Uganda military in 1998. In 1999, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, following the completion of an Officer Cadet Course at UPDF School of Infantry, then located in Jinja, in Uganda's Eastern Region.

Military career
Over the years, Nabasa has commanded various units in the UPDF, starting with an infantry platoon in 1999, then a tank platoon in 2000, then serving as a brigade operations officer from 2004 until 2005.

Ugandan lawyer
Donald Rukare (born 4 November 1968) is a Ugandan lawyer, lecturer. Currently serves as the Chairperson of National Council of Sports of Uganda since 16 February 2020 as well he serves as the President of Uganda Olympic Committee. He serves as an advocate of the High Court of Uganda and of recent served as the President of the Uganda Swimming Federation. He is currently the Chief of Party of the USAID Rights and Rule of Project in Uganda.
Early life and education
Rukare graduated with a Doctor of Law (LLD) from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, has a Masters of Law (LLM) from Lund University Sweden, has post-graduate diplomas in international law, development and legal practice, a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University as well as a master's degree in Sports Law from ISDE Law and Business School in Madrid. Donald also holds an Executive Masters in Sports Management from the University of Louvain, Belgium, and has taken leadership and strategic management courses at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Harvard Business School in the US, as well as an international sports law program at Cambridge University in the UK.

Rukare has served in various positions such as a Head of Program Manager of European Union Human Right, as a Legal Advisor to Embassy of Ireland. He serves as an advocate of the High Court of Uganda, as a part-time lecturer in Sports Law at the Uganda Christian University in Mukono and is a regular guest faculty at the International Law Institute Kampala and the Center for Human Rights Pretoria University in South Africa. He is an external examiner at both Makerere University and Pretoria University. Rukare is a MEMOS lecturer of Governance teaching Sports Governance and Management on the International Olympic Committee Executive Masters Program (MEMOS).

Donald Kaberuka
Dr. Donald Kaberuka joined The Rockefeller Foundation board of trustees in 2015.
Dr. Kaberuka was most recently the President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), responsible for reducing poverty in Africa through spurring sustainable economic development and social progress in 54 member countries, with an authorized capital in excess of $43.5 billion. He was elected in 2005, becoming the bank’s seventh President, and serving two terms.
His tenure is described as the most successful decade in the history of the Bank, ably steering AfDB against the backdrop of historic change in Africa. Under his leadership, AfDB placed increased emphasis on the private sector, and on the importance of major infrastructure developments in road, railways, power plants and communications etc., to help promote regional integration and development in Africa. He implemented a ten year strategy focused on encouraging private sector activity to absorb the 15 million African youth that join the work force annually, and in 2009 in response to the global financial crisis, AfDB made record approvals of loans and grants totaling more than $12.6 billion, helping Africa avoid serious damage. In 2014, AfDB provided $223 million to help fight Ebola in Africa and to help rebuild affected economies.
Before joining AfDB, Dr. Kaberuka had a distinguished career in banking, international trade and development and government service. A national of Rwanda, he was the country’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning between 1997 and 2005.
Dr. Kaberuka was educated at universities in Tanzania and Scotland. He holds a PhD in Economics from Glasgow University.
